YouTube allows you to share videos with anyone you want. You most likely have at least one tool to make a video. If you don't own a camcorder, many web cams, digital cameras, and cell phones have video capability or perhaps you can borrow a friend's. These devices tend to record in AVI or .MPG formats. YouTube works with both formats.

Remember, when it comes time to upload your video, your camcorder needs a direct connection to your computer. Generally, the connection is a USB cord. When you have finished shooting your video, connect the camcorder to your computer to upload. If you are having any technical difficulties, you can ask someone in their 20's for help!
If you're satisfied with the video, you need to save the video in a format that YouTube can accept in order for it to upload correctly. YouTube recommends that you save your videos as either QuickTime .MOV, Windows .AVI, or .MPG files.
